Last night was the New York premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. This new LOTR prequel, coming to Amazon Prime on September 2, was expensive (try: $1 billion expensive), and those in attendance dressed like it. Here are some of our favorite looks from the night.

Nazanin Boniadi wore a metallic dress with Dolce & Gabbana heels.

Markella Kavenagh made goth glam in her long black dress with plaid accents.

In my favorite LBD of the night, Sara Zwangobani wore a one-shoulder, textured dress with a cutout.

Black and white. Yin and yang. Somehow, this maxi dress that Sophia Nomvete wore is both elegant and fun.

Cynthia Addai-Robinson stands out in this Alexander McQueen draped dress with silver accents. She coordinated her look, also wearing silver shoes and rings.

Fina Strazza looks like a movie star from the ’70s in her short, flared YSL dress with a long cutout.

Stacey Bendet went regal with her look, going for a cape she made earlier that day and pearl crown.

Though a lot of people wore black to this event, Roze Traore went with all white, still accessorizing with a black bandana and hat.

Jo Ellen Pellman brought cottagecore to the LOTR carpet, opting for a tiered dress with balloon sleeves. She also has some of my favorite accessories of the night: a vintage bag and Miu Miu heels.

Big bows are hard to wear, but Ema Horvath is pulling it off.

Ismael Cruz Cordova opted for a double-breasted navy suit with a floral flair on his shoulder.

Solea Pfeiffer wore an oversized suit and slicked back her hair into a bun. This look will never not be chic.

Jerrie Johnson looks like a cool referee in her patterned black and white button up and sneakers. I love a statement baseball cap.

Tyroe Muhafidin wore purple and orange, brightening up the red carpet. Harry Styles needs to know where he got this outfit.
